Drop your nets…..

fishing_with_nets.gif

When Jesus was first gathering up disciples -those who he would use to unleash the Kingdom of God on this earth – he called some fishermen and told them to drop their nets and start fishing for men.

While thier profession was great and the things they were doing were fine, Jesus called them to abandon their temporal pursuits and catch hold of a grander vision. This is one of the first tests that Christ poses to those who he is calling to launch the Kingdom of God in this world – the test of cathing the grander vision that God has for you and this world.

So do it. When God puts wanderful visions, ideas, & dreams of what could be into your tiny, human brain

drop your nets and get after it

  1. Good thoughts. I think we need to first learn to pursue God – daily seek Him. If our focus is Jesus we will catch His vision and not our own!
